Care

Exercise and movement

Simple movements your chiropractor shows you in the room, to practice on your own between visits.

You leave knowing what to do, in what order, and when to stop.

What to expect

  • What a visit includes

A short movement check, then a few movements picked for you.

    • Two or three movements shown in the room

    • A sheet you keep, on paper or sent to you

    • A change to the movements at your next visit

  • How long and how often

A few minutes in a visit. Your chiropractor changes the movements as you go. We do not promise a number of visits, and you can stop at any time.

  • What we do not claim

We do not promise results, and results vary. We make no claims about conditions, and this is not a gym or a training program.

  • Risks

Muscles can be sore after new movement. Stop if a movement hurts, and tell your chiropractor at the next visit.

  • See a physician first

See a physician first for chest pain, dizziness, new numbness or weakness, or pain that gets worse with each try. Your chiropractor may ask you to see one before you begin.

  • How it is paid

The movements are part of a visit, so they are billed as a visit, or covered by the monthly plan. We do not bill insurance. You can cancel the plan any time, with a pro rata refund.

Questions about this care

Do I need to join a gym?

No. The movements use your body and, sometimes, a foam roller or a band. You can do them at home.

What if a movement hurts?

Stop, and tell your chiropractor at your next visit. They change it or drop it.

Ask about movements to practice

  • A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
