Questions and answers

What happens at my first visit?

You check in at the front desk, then talk with the chiropractor and have a hands-on exam. The chiropractor explains what they found and what a plan could look like. You decide what to do next, and we tell you what it costs before anything starts.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Every kind of care has risks. Soreness after an adjustment is common and usually short. Rare serious problems have been reported after neck adjustments, so your chiropractor explains the risks before any neck adjustment, and you can say no to any part of a visit. If you have a sudden severe headache or neck pain, new weakness or numbness, chest pain, or trouble with your bladder or bowels, call 911 or see a physician first.

Will the adjustment hurt?

Most people feel pressure rather than pain, and some are sore for a day. The chiropractor changes the technique to fit you, and we stop whenever you ask.

How many visits will I need?

Your chiropractor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits, and results vary. You can stop at any time.

Do you take my insurance?

We are a cash practice and do not bill health insurance. You pay at the visit, or monthly on a plan, and you can ask for an itemized receipt to send to your plan. Your plan decides whether it reimburses any of it. How fees work has the details.

What if I do not use insurance?

Most of our patients pay this way. If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us. We give you a written estimate before your first visit.

Do I need x-rays?

Not always. We take x-rays only when medically necessary, and your chiropractor tells you why and what they cost before they are taken.

Can I bring my child, or come while pregnant?

Tell us when you call. The chiropractor talks with you first, and may ask you to see your physician or midwife before care. We make no claims about conditions in pregnancy or childhood.

What if I have already seen another provider?

That is fine. Bring what you have, and tell your chiropractor in person. We never ask you to stop seeing your physician, and we are glad to work alongside them.

What is your cancellation policy?

On the Wellness plan, cancel any time in person, by phone or by email, and unused days of the month are refunded, pro rata. If you pay per visit there is nothing to cancel. Tell us at least a day ahead if you cannot make an appointment, so we can offer the time to someone else.
